Your Electrologist will wear a mask at all times. All clients must use hand sanitizer upon arrival. There is a 15 minute break scheduled in between each client so traffic does not overlap. All surfaces are disinfected between EACH client (bed, chair, door, equipment, door knobs, reception desk, payment terminal, bathroom, etc). All bedding is disposable. All tools are sterilized and disinfected.
If you provide us with a cell phone number, our system will send you a reminder text 2 days before.
There is parking directly in front and beside the building. You may enter for your appointment when you arrive. Please use the hand sanitizer upon entry.
Feel free to use our washroom anytime. We disinfect it between every use.
No charge will occur as long as you cancel 24 hours in advance. If we are able to fill your appointment, there will be no charge. If we are unable to fill the gap, you will be responsible for the full payment of your reserved time. Cancellations for appointments 1 hour in length or longer require a 48 hours advanced notice.
We accept debit, master card and visa as well as e-transfer or cash (exact change preferred)
Your skin will be red for 30 minutes to an hour after treatment. For sensitive skin, a high setting or a long appointment, your redness may last longer
The area may be irritated, inflamed and may feel hot. This usually subsides within 30 minutes to an hour but may last longer if you are very sensitive or a high setting was required.
Minor puffiness may occur after a treatment. The higher the setting that is needed, the more likely to occur.
Scabs are your body's way of protecting you from bacteria, infection and debris. Scabbing may or may not occur on the face, but it will always occur on the body.
A few pimples here or there is ok but you don't want an entire break out every time. Some minor adjustments to the settings or products your Electrologist uses will usually correct the problem.
Stay out of the UV until healed. Your skin creates pigment when it is trying to prevent itself from injury. This is why we get a tan. This can lead to hyper pigmentation in the area if you go into the sun while it is still irritated. The darkness will go away over time but its better not to get it at all.
For fastest healing and to keep the area clean, it is best to avoid harsh cleansers or applying make-up for 48-72 hours. Some people avoid this advice and are fine. Others avoid this advice and prolong their healing time.
Any bacteria entering the area after your treatment can reduce healing times or increase chances of a negative reaction. Don't touch the area or pick at any scabs that may form after treatment.
Shaving does not affect the hair under the surface of the skin. It will not make the hair coarser. It only appears this way because there is no tapered end when the hair grows back due to the blunt cut from shaving or cutting. You can still shave/cut during the Electrolysis process but please allow 3 days growth or longer before your appointment.
Tweezing will stimulate the hair growth cells causing the hair to grow back darker, coarser and stronger than before. It will also distort the hair follicle, causing the hair to grow back in odd directions.
For electrolysis to be effective, you cannot tweeze once you have started treatments. Not only will it take 8-13 weeks for that follicle to produce another hair, it will stimulate the hair cells further, most likely hindering any previous results.

By using a chemical bleach, you can make the hairs less noticeable. This option only lasts for few days until the roots begin to show. You can use this method up to 72 hours before you treatment but do not apply afterwards until the area is completely healed.
These creams essentially disintegrate the hair just below the surface of the skin. It can lead to chemical burns and scarring. You can use this method while under going electrolysis but it will take longer to grow out than if you shaved so you may need longer than 3 days growth
