Yes if you wish, but it is most likely not needed. You can apply a topical ointment such as EMLA 1 hour before your treatment. The application must be thick so I can still see the cream when you arrive. It will work better if covered with plastic wrap for the full hour after application. You can wear your wrapping to your appointment and I will remove it when we begin the treatment.
Although users report good results with the application of a topical anesthetic before hand, there is always a chance it will create a barrier in the follicle and not allow the light to penetrate as deeply.

For body areas it is helpful to wear clothing that makes the treatment area accessible. Example: A tank top for underarm treatments, loose pants or shorts for leg treatments... If the clothing is not accessible you can remove the article until the treatment is complete.
As long as you do not tweeze, wax or pull the hairs by the root after we have treated them, you will not lose the progress we have achieved. It is possible to get new different growth in the future if you have a dramatic hormonal changes or medications that cause the hair growth. But the follicles that were destroyed with the laser cannot return.
