Skin Anomaly Removal

Your treatment time includes a complimentary consultation so that I can examine the area in person and determine it the anomaly is safe to treat. I will then explain the procedure to you. There is time reserved for an optional 10 minute treatment* or you are welcome to go home and think about it before proceeding.

*If I have any safety concerns you will be asked to provide a doctors note before the treatment can occur.

The treatment is done by an experienced certified Electrologist using an epilator and a Surgical Microscope for precision.  

In cases of skin tags, moles and warts, heat is inserted into the anomaly and it will fall off or absorb into itself using your bodies natural healing methods. 

In the case of large skin tags, milia and keratosis, the anomaly itself is removed during treatment and a scab will form and heal over the following 2-3 weeks. 

Many anomalies only require one treatment. Approximately 10 anomalies can be treated in each session (or more if they are very small). Anomalies that may require repeated treatments are: Angiokeratomas, Facial/Neck Spider Vein Lightening and warts.

If we are able to eliminate the entire anomaly and it's growth cells, it will never return. New ones may form in new areas depending on genetics, diet and medication.

The Thermocoagulation process will continue working for up to 3 weeks. It will take the area 2-3 weeks to heal. For Keratosis Removal this healing time may take longer. 

We are using heat to treat and remove the anomalies. The skin will be irritated and inflamed. It may feel hot and itchy while it is healing. It may change various colors over time and a scab may form. In most cases the treated area will heal without a trace the anomaly was ever there. 

*Keratosis Removal and Age Spot Lightening may leave a small pink mark that will fade over time but will leave no indent in the skin.

Please keep the anomaly as dry as possible and avoid soaking, heavy sweating and moisturizers in the area for 72 hours or more. If the anomaly gets wet in the shower, please dry as soon as possible and do not apply any ointments unless otherwise instructed. Avoid covering unless absolutely necessary as the area will need to breathe. Please allow the process to work for up to 3 weeks and if the anomaly is not fully gone, please book a follow up appointment.

For best results please avoid aspirin, excessive excercise, caffeeine and alcohol intake for 72 hours after treatment. 

One Anomaly: $40 +HST

Up to 10 Anomalies: $80 +HST (10 Minutes)

Up to 20 Anomalies: $150 +HST (20 Minutes Max Per Session)

There is an additional $25 charge for Keratosis Removal as this procedure takes longer
