Christa received her Thermocoagulation Certification in 2011. She has safely removed hundreds of anomalies in her career. We offer a free consultation to examine the anomalies and ensure they are safe to treat. At this time we will also explain to you the treatment process and after care regimen (it is different for all areas). There is no obligation and you are welcome to think about it before you proceed with a treatment.
Thermocoagulation is a non-surgical procedure that will improve the appearance of your skin by reducing or eliminating unwanted skin anomalies or blemishes. A surgical microscope is used to ensure precision. This treatment is safe for all body areas including the eye area. The treatments effects are based on heat which coagulates the anomalies and your body naturally does the rest. The current is restricted to the target area making sure that tissue damage to the surrounding areas are limited.
This will depend on the size and can be determined at your free consultation. The smaller they are, the more we can remove in one session.
Thermocoagulation can be compared to a hot mosquito bite. With the exception of keratosis, each anomaly only takes a minute or two to treat and numbing cream can be used before hand if you feel you have a low pain tolerance.
For small skin tags, moles, cherry angiomas and angiokeratomas you may only require 1 treatment. We can treat numerous anomalies within one session. If the anomaly is larger it will shrink in size with one treatment but will require a follow up treatment to remove completely. These treatments are spaced 2-3 weeks apart.
Keratosis will only require 1 treatment but keratosis take longer to remove so not as many can be done in one session. If you have multiple keratosis, it may take many treatments to treat them all. This can be determined at your free consultation.
Most of the anomalies will heal and you will never know they were ever there. For keratosis removal or extremely large moles there may be a slight pink mark that will fade with time.
